Biography: 

Serge Charchoune was a painter of Russian origins who arrived in Paris in 1912, where he met various artists belonging to the Dada movement. He created his own Russian Dada group called "Palata Poetov" ("the Poets' Room"), which he later abandoned, turning to purist and then abstract painting.
